Transforming a Pantry into a Beautiful and Functional Space
We recently completed a project that brought another drawing to life, creating a beautiful and functional pantry for a returning client. This homeowner had a small pantry adjacent to a hallway closet. Their goal was to remove the old pantry and expand it to be both larger and more functional.
Understanding the Client’s Vision
The client wanted the new pantry to match the rest of the house with maple plywood and maple hardwood. They specified doors and casing that blended seamlessly with their home’s existing decor, as well as soft close drawers and adjustable shelves. Building dovetail drawers is one of my favorite tasks, second only to crafting doors, so this project was particularly enjoyable.
The Craftsmanship Behind the Build
The project was constructed with a combination of maple plywood and maple hardwood, providing durability and aesthetic appeal. The soft close drawers and adjustable shelves ensure functionality, making the pantry a perfect blend of beauty and practicality.
Attention to Detail
Every aspect of this pantry was designed with the client’s needs in mind. The maple hardwood doors and casing match the existing decor of the house, ensuring a cohesive look throughout the home. The soft close drawers add a touch of luxury and convenience, preventing any slamming and making the pantry quiet and user-friendly. Adjustable shelves offer flexibility, allowing the homeowner to customize the pantry layout to suit their storage needs.
